Dr. Granger leads California Coast Dental Arts, where he is known for gentle, thorough care and a real knack for putting nervous patients at ease. He treats families across Oceanside with the same service-first, compassion-first approach that has shaped his career from the very start.
A Path to Dentistry
Raised in Escondido, Dr. Granger was the first in six generations to step away from the family barbershop and into dentistry, a decision he made when he was just eight years old. He went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from California State University, San Marcos with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology, then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California in 2021 on a United States Air Force scholarship.
Training and Areas of Focus
After dental school, Dr. Granger completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Langley Air Force Base and served as a general dentist at Cannon Air Force Base. Practicing without specialist backup there gave him hands-on experience across the full range of dentistry, from routine care to complex cases. Today he serves as an appointed inspector for the California Dental Board's Anesthesia Unit and focuses on advanced treatment such as IV sedation, wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, and sleep dentistry.
A Commitment to Learning and Service
Dr. Granger completes well over 100 hours of continuing education each year and still teaches emergency medicine alongside the Air Force and the American Red Cross. He will receive his Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry in 2027, a milestone earned by only a small share of dentists. Above all, he loves family dentistry and welcomes just about anything that comes through the door, always caring for the person in the chair and not only the teeth.
