While at USC’s Dental School, Dr. Chan was recognized as a student dentist who took part in the Doctors Out To Care Program. He was also voted and served as Treasurer for all four years of dental school for his class. Jack is now a part-time faculty member at USC Dental School teaching restorative techniques to prepare the dental students to work in a clinical environment.

Dr. Chan’s adheres to the philosophy of the least amount of dentistry that can be done, the better off the patient will be.

He believes that it is important not to become complacent, but continue to learn and expand one’s horizons. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Diego Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation.

Dr. Chan and his team have made a commitment to stay abreast and embrace the best that dental technology has to offer. All members of California Coast Dental Arts attend the annual California Dental Association Scientific Session in order stay current and knowledgeable about dental trends and how to aid our patients to receive the best dental care possible. Our treatment rooms are equipped with computer monitors, intra-oral cameras, digital radiography, and multimedia patient education systems. Sterilization is achieved with new sterilizers that are closely monitored and regularly checked by a third party regulator to ensure that our high standards are met.
